Simple draining of containers from pails up to 95
gallon overpacks.
This is a stainless steel drain pan with a
galvanized steel grate on top. The grate is tilted at just the right angle to have
as much of the heel in a drum drain out of a bung hole as possible, and
to encourage fluid to flow off the bottom of the drum and down the sides
to the open bung hole.
The pan is sloped to a 2" NPT drain so you may allow the drained liquids
to flow to a sump or pump it up to a tank. There's nothing else to
it: Tip an empty drum up onto it inverted and let it drain by
gravity. The grate is low, and the front lip shaped to make
putting a drum on it an easy task.
Connect a 2"
pipe to it to transfer the residues to a sump or a pump.
Set 4 or 5
pails to drain at one time. Set a couple 30 gallon drums at a
time.
Option:
Fiberglass grate in liu of steel.
